Our masks meet the followin following certifications:
The Sodium Chloride Aerosol Challenge (NaCl) – NIOSH Respirator Prequalification
test uses a widely accepted method for evaluating particle penetration and air flow
resistance properties of a variety of filtration materials. Respirators must be
prequalified before submitting to NIOSH for certification; other materials, such as
breathing system filters and face masks, are tested to determine filtration efficiency
for marketing. These tests are performed for masks seeking N95 respirator
The Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE) test evaluates the nonviable particle retention
or filtration efficiency of filter media and other filtration devices at sub-micron levels.
This test is performed on face masks and all filter material that allows 1 cubic foot
per minute (CFM) flow to pass through it.
The Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) test is performed on filtration materials and
devices that are designed to provide protection against biological aerosols, such as
face masks, surgical gowns, caps, and air filters.
We’re acutely conscious of the detrimental effects of ‘Covid Waste’ and the negative impact that single-use masks have on the environment. Approximately 53 million disposable masks end up in landfills every day.
Not only are they made of polypropylene, which takes around 450 years to biodegrade, but a lot of them also end up in the ocean and therefore add to the eight million tonne mass of plastic entering the sea every year. Covid Waste is an issue that we and future generations are going to have to face, and we have the responsibility to reduce it - starting now.
CITANN masks have been made to last, to be washed and reused just as your favourite items of clothes are.
CITANN masks have been made to last, to be washed and reused just as your favourite items of clothes are. Each mask comes with three easy to change activated carbon filters, keeping you safer for longer. We developed our cutting edge five layer filtration technology through extensive research and testing – technology that’s been approved by globally recognised laboratories and standards agencies.
This best in class carbon filtration system means that CITANN masks are so much more than that: they’re powerful respirators which eliminate at least 99% of fine dust, bacteria, gases, and pollutants, giving the wearer unparalleled protection from everyday irritants, and peace of mind that they can breathe safe, in style.
Yes they are, and once the earloops are fixed in place, you can easily wash your CITANN mask without the shape changing.
The mask itself is washable, simply remove the valves and filter before doing so.
All masks come with a handy zip up pouch to keep your mask clean and safe, wherever you are.
Yes they are, along with the filters.
Depending on the volume of usage (e.g. daily vs a few times per week), we would recommend changing your filter every 1 - 3 months.
Yes, always remove the valves before washing.
Use this text to answer questions in as much detail as possible for your customers.
The mask itself is water-resistant, however, the filter is not, if it soaks in water, you must replace it with a new one.
